Born from a “simple idea” - Windsor Innovations, based in Minnesota and incorporated in 2006, sprang from a simple idea based upon sound and well-understood concepts and a call for new tools and solutions by the Mineral Management Service to address man-made oil spill incidences that contribute to the pollution of our oceans and waterways.

 

TJ Parro, CEO, co-founder, and the originator of the “simple idea”, believed that thinking outside the box and surrounding himself with like-minded professionals who believe that if the challenges of going to the moon can be overcome; new, innovative, and effective solutions for combating hydrocarbons leaking and seeping from submerged sources into our waters can be developed. TJ Parro, has over two decades working as a successful entrepreneur and manager serving with public corporations such as 3M and Honeywell.

Mr. Parro’s background includes extensive experience in high-tech, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and R&D in both corporate and government sectors. He started his career as Lead Design Engineer for Honeywell Micro Switch Division during which time he was instrumental in the authoring six (6) patents. Mr. Parro served with 3M in various management positions related to their electronic, industrial and software development and sales groups. During his tenure he was a manager within four (4) divisions to include Co-founder of a new division and serving as New Business Development Manager for the CD Solutions division; manager of the digital imaging team at NASA’s Johnson Space Center for the STS-48 space shuttle mission which printed the first real-time digital images from space; Sales and Applications Manager of Color Laser Imager Project; and Electronics and Software Development Manager, Digital Imaging Applications.

Mr. Parro founded Windsor Software, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Company, is a consulting company that provides project management and systems development to State and Federal institutions. Customers include 3M; Moore Business Forms; US Department of Veteran Affairs; US Department of Labor; America's Learning eXchange; Minnesota State Colleges and Universities; Japanese Housing Authority, and the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his business interests, he is on the adjunct faculty of the University of St. Thomas, Graduate School of Business teaching a course in E-Commerce, E-Marketing, and Electronic Catalogs. Mr. Parro also serves on the Board of Director for America's Kids Connect, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving technology in America's classrooms.

 

Kenneth W. Richards, COO and co-founder, brings 25 years experience as a senior executive, entrepreneur, and consultant to public and private entities in the high-tech, transportation and manufacturing sectors.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Richards was a founder and executive of three Minnesota start-up companies that encompassed packaging and printing services to the personal health care industry, polymer research developing new processing technologies polymers, and high-tech infrastructure security solutions for Department of Homeland Security and DoD. Mr. Richards served as Vice President of Operations for United Shipping & Technology, Inc a NASDAQ-listed publicly traded company that acquired Corporate Express same-day service division.

Mr. Richards also served as Director of Systems Support for Pacific Computer Corporation, where he was responsible for all US professional services and disaster recovery consulting to its customer base until acquired by Bell Atlantic. As Vice President of Operations of Polaris Computer Corporation in Hong Kong, a PC computer manufacturer, he was responsible for technology licensing and international sales.

Mr. Richards has authored 14 patents in the polymer, oil spill recovery and information technology industries. He has also performed risk management and security policy consulting internationally with public and private entities such as the United Nations, New Mexico State University, and Bank of Credit and Commerce International [BCCI], and The Technology Commission of the People’s Republic of China. Mr. Richards has also written white papers on terrorist acts against IT installations and infrastructure for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, lectured and taught Master’s level engineering curriculum for Golden State University and been a guest speaker on the subject of IT security at the Department of Homeland Security’s security conference. Mr. Richards is a member of the National Science Foundation and MANCEF.
